Ina Garten has been an acclaimed American cookbook author for a number of years. Ina is also the Emmy-winning host of Food Networks longest running show Barefoot Contessa that began in 2002. Ina started writing Nuclear energy and policy documents for the White House. After initially finding the job intellectually stimulating and exciting but she quickly became bored. Barefoot Contessa was then bought. After selling the store, she spent an entire 18 years transforming it into an extremely successful business. A number of magazines and cookbooks were later published. Another hit was her Food Network Television show. In addition, she sells everything from cooking equipment to supplies and containers. Ina has never attended a cookery school nor was she employed at a restaurant. Her education is completely self-taught. Her name is known for her easy style of entertainment as well as her simple food preparation. Her best-known recipes include Skillet Lemon Chicken roasted by Beatty's Chocolate Cake Mac & cheese Beef Bourguignon. Balsamic roasted Brussels Sprouts, Lemon Bars and Mac and Cheese.
